Pool Resurfacing and Restoration Services

Another summer of intense Texas heat has your pool’s surface looking rough. You deserve a pool you can be proud of, but dealing with worn plaster, stained walls, and fading tile can feel overwhelming.

No one wants to start another big project, and with the time, cost, and hassle, it’s easy to let these issues sit for another season. Pool resurfacing offers a simpler way to refresh your pool’s finish, so you can fall in love with your pool again without starting from scratch.

Evolution Leak Detection & Pool Repair is a family-owned company that handles pool resurfacing across Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, and the surrounding DFW area. Based in McKinney, our team stays with your pool from first call to final walkthrough.

What is Pool Resurfacing?

Pool resurfacing, also known as pool refinishing, applies a fresh finish over your pool’s worn interior surface, so it looks and feels like new without replacing the structure underneath.

Pool surfaces don’t last forever. Constant sunlight, everyday use, and exposure to chemicals in your pool can wear the finish down over time, causing it to be rough, discolored, and prone to leaks. By prepping the worn surface, repairing any damage, and applying a new finish, resurfacing brings back that smooth, comfortable feel you love about your pool.

Commercial Pool Restoration for Dallas Businesses

If you manage a commercial property like an HOA, apartment community or hotel, your pool has a lot more to handle. We resurface and restore commercial pools across DFW so your residents and guests can get back to swimming and you can get back to business.

Less Downtime

A closed pool leads to complaints and costs you money, so we work to reopen it as quickly as possible.

Code and Safety Compliance

Commercial pools are held to higher standards than residential ones, so we handle ADA and safety upgrades to keep yours up to code.

Built for High-Traffic Use

Commercial pools also see heavy traffic, so we help you choose a finish strong enough to handle constant use.

We do more than just resurfacing for commercial properties. Our team also handles commercial leak detection, repairs, renovations and design.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the type of pool you have. On concrete pools, we prep the old plaster, repair any damage, and replaster with the finish you choose. On fiberglass pools, we prep the surface and apply a fresh coating on top. Since prep and application are the most important steps, it’s best to leave the work to a professional so the finish lasts longer.

It depends. Plaster usually lasts around 7 to 12 years, and quartz and pebble last longer. It’s best to have your surface checked when you’re close to those marks.

Most projects take about one to two weeks, but pebble and quartz finishes may take a little longer than basic plaster.

You can refill your pool right away, but the new plaster isn’t fully set. For the first few weeks, it will need light maintenance to set correctly. We’ll show you how or handle it for you.
